Soil is Alive - Session at the library

Back

The "Soil is Alive" event at the Library was an incredible experience, bringing the community together to explore the fascinating world beneath our feet. Hosted by the Library, the program featured a Soil Health table where participants could examine soil samples under a microscope.

Residents were invited to bring their own soil to uncover the hidden life within. It was amazing to witness their reactions as they observed tiny organisms thriving in a single drop of liquid under the cover slip. Students and adults alike were captivated, sparking lively discussions about the importance of healthy soil for sustainability and food security.

This interactive event highlighted the vibrant ecosystem living within soil and its essential role in supporting life on Earth. They were able to relate soil health is gut health. It was a day filled with curiosity, learning, and connection. We’re excited to host more events like this to inspire deeper appreciation for soil and its life-sustaining power!
